FRIDAY, MARCH 26, 2004 - A wide berth
It's best to avoid debating with casual acquaintences, or those you don't
care for, because it often transitions into a senseless argument of entrenched
positions. Each side is unwilling to lose face, and adding liberal doses
of liquor doesn't help a thing.
Extreme examples supporting her position are given while he's
busy formulating his defense. Neither is listening.
When this happens, I like to excuse myself for a smoke on the ordinance-free
sidewalk. Few people are skilled in the art of debate, and smart's got
nothing to do with it.

The first waxy leaves have sprouted on our house plants. I've survived
another winter. At last.
